Aparajita Basu is the Principal Architect of the firm [trans]architecture, which was founded by her in 2002. The firm aims to work with a collaborative and multi-disciplinary approach to Architectural Design. She has been practicing for over a decade.
She has worked under Prof. BalkrishnaDoshi at VastuShilp Consultants from 1999 to 2002 during which she handled the ‘Imax Theatre Project’ as well as ‘Manisha House’.
Aparajita studied Architecture at the Institute of Environmental Design, VallabhVidyanagar, Gujarat from 1990 and was awarded the Diploma in Architecture in 1996. She worked on the Petronas Towers designed by Cesar Pelli, in Malaysia for a brief internship before leaving for the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor for a Master’s program. She was awarded the Master of Architecture in 1999.
